The report says Apple is likely to introduce the accessory alongside an update to its high-end iPad Pro line up later in 2020, and does not say if the rumoured keyboard would work with the iPad Air or iPad, two models that now also have Apple’s Smart Connector port to allow the attachment of the existing official Apple iPad keyboard. Apple helped pioneer the technology known as multitouch with the iPhone in 2007 and again with the iPad in 2010, paving the way for touchscreen devices in a market that until then had been saturated with smartphones and PDAs that needed a stylus for input....

That’s according to comments made by John Gruber on the 5by5 Talk Show, claiming to have heard from some at Apple about a 7.85" tablet making the rounds internally. Rumors about a scaled-down tablet to compete with the Kindle and wide range of similar devices have long circulated, and while Gruber couldn’t say whether the smaller device was being prepared for release, he did offer this: There’s no need to debate whether an iPad Mini would be a worthwhile venture for the company, since the device would likely sell every bit as well as anything Apple-branded these days....

The email, publicized on Reddit and which spread on Twitter late last week, was sent by Wayne Pankratz, executive director of operations for Apple Central, LLC, a franchise group that owns several restaurants. In the email, he said higher prices will require more people to need money, so they may apply for jobs and be prepared to work for lower wages and longer shifts, which could benefit the restaurants....

The global pandemic that’s impacted the sports world and the world in general for nearly a year will limit attendance at the big game, too. The NFL had varying attendance policies throughout the 2020 regular season depending on where teams/stadiums were located, because different states and localities had different rules governing gatherings. Super Bowl 55, at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, won’t feature a full stadium and will have additional policies in place that could keep fans with symptoms out of the stadium altogether....
